About Capitol Velo

Tracing our roots back to the late 1970’s, Capitol Velo has been a fixture in Oregon racing for three decades. Our more than 50 team members living in and around Salem can be found riding and racing year-round in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The team has a strong commitment to the community; members volunteer with local bike-to-school and bike safety training programs and also promote a local road race each year.

Club Mission: Capitol Velo Racing Club welcomes cyclists of all ages and skill levels. Is is our mission to enhance and grow the sport of cycling in the Willamette Valley. Our goals are achieved through the promotion of cycling events, competition in various disciplines of cycling and the support of a junior racing program.
